The youth ministry here at FUMC is an exciting place to be. Our goal is to simply be with our students as much as possible. Out of the “quantity” time that we spend with our students we discover the “quality” moments that change lives.

The youth ministry is in a state of transition but our Current Weekly Activities are:
Sunday Mornings (10-11am) - Small Groups
Sunday Evenings (5-7pm) - Garage Bible Study in homes
Wednesday Nights (6-7:30pm) - U-TURN 2.0 Youth Program

We have arranged our youth ministries around the church core values:

Loving One Another - Sunday Mornings (10am) during the Sunday School hour, we have a small group ministry. We study the Bible together, but focus primarily on building relationships and understanding what it means to live out our faith in our lives. This program is intended to develop friendships which will encourage more participation and interactions with God.

 Teaching God’s Word - Sunday Evenings (5-7pm) is a time for going deeper into the Scriptures—Bible Study. We basically sit down, open up the Bible and discuss it for about an hour together. This program tends to be our spiritually stronger students.

Praising God - Also on Sunday evenings. Following our “Bible Study,” we have a “worship” time. This is not a worship service complete with a sermon, music, etc. Since the Word has already been taught during our Bible Study, this worship time is simply an opportunity to respond to God. Sometimes the appropriate response is done in prayer, other times it may be in serving one another, by journaling, or even with painting and artistic expressions.

Sharing the Good News - On Wednesday Nights. (6-7:30pm). The program includes lots of fun games, a snack bar/coffee shop, drama, our youth band, videos, and a short Gospel message from Steve. 

Strengthening Families - The youth ministry will also seek to strengthen families by providing numerous special events and programs throughout the year. We will offer Bible Studies for parents, family picnics, karaoke nights, coffeehouse concerts, father/son or mother daughter events, and anything else we can dream up to help strengthen the relationships within the home.
