Then Sings My Soul

There are times when this phrase simply describes it best. Those times we are filled with joy, those times we are filled with uncertainty or sorrow. There are times when music and song can help us share what is deep in our soul.

My Savior God To Thee

I am asking you to join others at First Church Lake Jackson in sharing your gift and talent with us in the music ministry. It does not matter if you have sung in a choir for many years or have never sung in a group before—we want to learn to sing praises and worship God together with you.

How Great Thou Art

Come and let the music fill you until your spirit is revived and renewed. Please read about the various music opportunities that are waiting for you and your family at First Church. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to learn and to serve.

If you have questions about the music ministry, please call me at 297-3046

Please come and join us as we share our music to tell how great God is.

Choirfully,

Director of Music Ministries

Repertoire for the group includes barbershop-style tunes and traditional men's chorus music. Rehearsals begin about four weeks before a performance and are held before or after Sanctuary Choir rehearsal on Wednesday.

Sanctuary Choir rehearsal on Wednesday.

Instruments of Praise

If you play or have played a string, brass, woodwind, percussion, or keyboard instrument, you are encouraged to call the music office so we know who you are! Get the violin out of the closet! Oil the valves of the  trumpet! Join other adult and student musicians to make a joyful sound with thanksgiving. To express you interest, please contact Jim Koch, Instrumental Music Coordinator via e-mail at jimkoch@bucband.org or call the church office.

Everyone succeeds by participating in a choir. Singing in a choir helps develop self-confidence and group skills.
