Mission Moments

Opportunities to serve:

The missions committee is sponsoring a "bank" for the Heifer project. Banks are available in the church office. Families are asked to place loose change in the banks and return them on the first Sunday in December. The 1st  through 6th graders will determine the animals to be purchased.

Opportunities to help with mission projects are varied. Ralph Hendricks has information on mission trips individuals can plan to join.

*************************************************

Call Ralph Hendricks at 265-3383 if you would like to register and attend. Cost is $25.00.

Tom Pruett has the Crystal Crafters project ready for volunteers to help.

Prayer shawls can be crocheted or knitted and Linda  Neumann can help individuals get started and there will be a meeting in September.  Call Linda for information on this project.

Remember to pick up a Food Basket Donation bag and fill it and bring it back.

River of Hope needs people to sort clothes, sort eye glasses, write encouraging notes to clients and clerical  so if you are interested call Nancy Weaver.

Message from Pastor Geller

God just wanted you to know...just how special you really are.

It is impossible for me to communicate to you the depth of God's love for you.  He has gone and will go to extraordinary lengths to make you aware of how much He loves you. You are His personal poem.  The Bible says that you are His masterpiece...you are His Rembrandt...you are His song...you are a reflection of His heart.

It is my prayer that you will come and join us in this incredible adventure of love at First Church.  We are discovering each and every day the power of God's grace and love.  We want to not only read the  Scriptures...we want to relive them.  We want to become a part of each and every word and sentence in the Bible.  We want to feel His heart beat and get caught up in the heart of God.  We want to learn to love each other the way that Jesus loved His disciples.

I can't wait to see you Sunday morning for an experience of Passionate Worship.  We have 3 services with 3 different styles and flavors of worship and all of them will bless your heart.

Peace!

Pastor Geller
